Joe Cole beaten over a page3 Model

England soccer star Joe Cole was beaten up in a jealous rage over a Page Three girl, it was claimed today.

His agent David Giess, who would not go into details, said: "There is no doubt that Joe was the injured party."

The £60,000 (¬87,000)-a-week Chelsea midfielder had to climb out of a window at 5.30am to escape the attack from a love rival for Keely Hazell, 19.

The incident happened after a late-night party on Saturday at the model's home in Grove Park, south east London.

A cut, bruised and bloody Cole, 24, went to a nearby cab office, according to The Sun.

His shirt had been ripped off in the struggle and he fled without his shoes, money or phone. Drivers did not recognise him because of the state he was in, it was claimed.

The party was after Chelsea's FA Cup Third Round home win over Huddersfield Town.

Cole, Chelsea captain John Terry and Bobby Zamora and West Ham's Anton Ferdinand went to the West End Embassy club.

They met up with Page Three girls, including former hairdresser Miss Hazell, Lauren Pope, Nikkala and Nicola T Cole.

Later Cole, Ferdinand and others carried on the party at Miss Hazell's semi-detached home.

One guest told The Sun: "It all went off. It was late and everyone had downed a few drinks.

"Joe and Keely were getting on well but another admirer copped the right hump about it.

"He went ballistic and had Joe for breakfast."

Cole was at training yesterday and today.

Chelsea FC made no comment.

The incident was not reported to police

Joe Cole will not face disciplinary action at Chelsea after apparently being beaten up at a party early on Sunday morning.
Jose Mourinho had given the players two days off after Saturday's FA Cup defeat of Huddersfield and Cole broke no rules by going to a nightclub and then to a party hosted by the page 3 model Keeley Hazell.

He was allegedly assaulted there but has trained since Tuesday and will not take action against his assailant.

Certainly looks well worth getting beaten up for! Mind you had he fought back probably the media would have claimed he started it it and there'd be an american style suit for damages and greivous bodily harm against him. Typically trying to get money for nothing.

Joe Cole has received three death threats this week that have left him "in terror" according to The Sun.

Two messages reportedly warned the Chelsea midfielder he was going to have his throat cut while another featured a drawing of a footballer in a blue kit with a line across his throat.

The letters arrived at Chelsea's training ground in Surrey this week over a period of two days.

The first apparently said, "You are going to have your legs broken, you're going to have your arms broken and you're going to have your throat cut."

He then received a card with a 'Congratulations on your retirement' message, complete with the words 'And your f****** funeral'.

An 'insider' told The Sun: "With it was a picture of a footballer in a blue strip. Across the player's throat was a line to indicate where he would be slashed."

The Sun has rather curiously suggested that the messages may be from fans of Page Three girl Keeley Hawes, incensed at the pair's friendship.

There are a such a lot of sad B@st#*ds in England, that's why a Russian had to buy and save the team from bankruptcy and make it what it is today. So much tradition, club culture, following etc etc has been forgotten, money speaks to everyone nowadays.

These guys and all team's players are entertainers at the highest level, who work hard and have a very limited lifespan (in playing terms).

I'm ashamed of being European sometimes, as most people there, unlike the majority of Asian people, don't want to give a fair day's labor for a fair day's pay.

Everyone wants to have something for nothing, a chance to have a minute of fame if only for the wrong reason.... remember the a&&h*le who murdered John Lennon?
