OUT of the kindness of her heart, she agreed to give two teens she had just met a lift home on her scooter.
But her pillion riders had something more heinous than a free ride in mind.
They raped the 20-year-old clinic assistant by a deserted road, reported Apple Daily Taiwan.
They then demanded a ride to a disco in town.
The clinic assistant kept her wits about her and managed to get away to make a police report.
The police soon arrested the two culprits.
The investigating police officer said: 'These wayward youths won't even spare a girl they just met. They're worse than beasts!'
The victim said the suspects, 17-year-old Xu and 15-year-old Huang, were strangers.
On 14 Jan, the victim and her friends had gone for a meal at a restaurant in Ba De city in Taiwan.
It was there that she met Xu and Huang.
The pair approached the group to say 'hi'. They then joined the group for drinks and a singing session.
After the meal, the two teens asked the victim for a ride home as they had not driven that day.
The trio then left the restaurant on the victim's scooter.
As they drove past a padi field along an isolated stretch of road, Xu and Huang realised that there was no one else in sight.
They then forced the victim to stop by the road and dragged her into the undergrowth where they took turns raping her.
But it was not enough for them.
The pair then asked the victim to drive them to a disco as they wanted to go dancing.
Afraid that she might be further harmed, she had no choice but to pretend to give in to their demand.
En route, she lied that she wanted to buy some drinks and used the opportunity to make a police report.
Sensing that something was wrong, Xu and Huang fled.
The police went into action and arrested the pair, who confessed to raping the victim
