Guys, Am about to take my bike down to my mechanic for 30k service, after adjusting the chain for the 120km journey south. I noticed pieces of rubber hanging off of directly above and below the swing arm. They're pretty badly worn and the rubber clamps and retaining nipples are nearly all broken. Do I need to keep them, are there spares available as a standard part, or would a home made set be okay, if I really need them? I've looked in the Haynes manual but can't seem to see anything about them.

the rubber piece u refering is called the drive chain slider. it is sold as a separate spare part. very easy to replace. by right have to take out e swingarm, but u can just slide in between small gaps. take little efforts but better than taking out the swingarm.
