“Bikers crossing over to Johor is no as safe as thought. There have been some quite reliable reports that bikers stopping at Gelang Patah gas stations, while waiting for friends; were boldly approached by 2 or more locals. They either approach you when you go to the toilet or simply approach you and tell you to follow them to the toilet. Once there they will rob you. We strongly recommend that our members take extra care when crossing over the border. We suggest that best not to go over alone then wait at Gelang Patah for other friends to join. Might be better to meet up on Singapore side then move north.”

Thk u for your reliable info....everyone seems to be afraid to go in solo nowadays even to jb for cigg/petrol/makan/ride....Be calm & boldly dressed with Full gear does deter potential local robbers to be to keep away from you.
Hang around with other group if you are alone waiting for the rest to come,more the merrier....

better go in with bigger sized frens like andrew and louis...azly maybe.... the size will deter potential criminals i guess...  being bigger in size doesnt equate the chances of gettin robbed.for a desperate robber in need of money to buy drugs,size means nothing to them. honestly , it's a game of chance.it takes alot of courage to rob(i myself dun dare to rob),so i'm pretty sure the clown in the process of muggin u muz be shittin in his pants! show resistance or aggression,see what happens.  *p.s-results may vary for individuals |

I'm sorry to hear that it's becoming very risky for you guys to cross the causeway to get petrol etc.
Just some advice on what we do here, in southern Philippines when we venture across the tracks in the mountains and hinterlands where our rebel insurgents are active.
Please travel in numbers and also carry a mate/partner as a pillion passenger. It may use a little more fuel, but numbers.. do matter.
The more there are of you, the less likely they, whoever they are, will be willing to risk themselves.
